It’s often called the “Night of Stars”, an annual occasion hosted by Mexico’s National Autonomous University.
The aim is to encourage individuals, particularly youngsters, to take an curiosity in science.

“It is really nice when people who are not associated with the university or science become interested and that children come and say “I wish to examine this after I develop up”. These events are really important to promote science.”
It’s yr 5 for the occasion which attracts star watchers from throughout Mexico.

“We are very clear about the need of planting the seed in children so they embrace scientific and engineering careers so Mexico can have more scientists to face the challenges of the future.”
The occasion is so standard, it landed Mexico within the Guinness Book of World Records when almost three thousand stargazers seemed by way of their telescopes on the similar time.
